Kingmoor Park Charitable Trust
The Kingmoor Park Charitable Trust was set up in 2004 and has since donated more than £3m to local causes including sponsorship of two Academies in Carlisle. Brian Scowcroft, Chairman of the KPCT was also instrumental in drawing down over £5m of Big Lottery funding to create a brand new, purpose built Youth Zone. Brian remains one of the principal funders of this new facility.
Whilst the trust has recently concentrated on educational projects it has donated funds to a wider variety of projects in the past including the Breast Cancer Unit, Cumberland Infirmary, Mencap, Cumbria Cerebral Palsy, Eden Valley Hospice, James Rennie School, Carlisle and many more.
